I carry lots of stuff.
Coat-flashlight, multitool, pull station keys, window center punch, I.D.s, 2 ft. of 1" webbing, and several other tools
Pants-30 ft. of self rescue rope with a carabiner on both ends, leather gloves, and wooden wedges
Helmet-flashlight, wooden wedge and 2 small wooden wedges used to stop flowing sprinkler heads.
I do carry the nickname of Inspector Gadget. I am well known for having the right tool at the time it is needed without having to return to the truck/engine.
I don't really carry much. I keep an extra hood, and a plain jane pair of leather gloves. I have 2 pair of gloves, fire and leather. The fire are for what they are called for. The leather are primarily used for Pump Operation. They are also used for overhaul, and anything that the others would be to bulky for. The extra hood isn't just for me. I keep it just in case one of the brothers or sisters needs one.
