My current favorite cool fire scene - Live Free or Die Hard with Bruce Willis - there is a really cool crash, with fire balls in a tunnel... complete with flying cars. Best Action Sequence movie I have ever seen. It also includes an amazing bridge collapse / tractor trailer crash due to fighter jet attack and utility plant gas main explosion. So I guess that is at least 3 cool fire scenes. I think there are no firefighters in the whole movie though. . . since 911 was jammed - (LOL, plot twist)... oh yea, they did call it a "FIRE SALE"
Then again, all the Die Hard movies have really good fire scenes.

No particular favorite but watching firefighters on TV and the movies made me realize we are all doing it wrong.
You always use a straight stream and you always run the water around the edges of the window the fire comes out of.

i only watch backdraft when i'm depressed...L49 was a better story...firehouse(1972)...fire on the 37 floor...the don mackey story...little rascals short...towering inferno-they actually run out of air in scenes...the fire alarm(1929)---tv shows-code red..emergency...police surgeon****COP SHOWS***ADAM 12-DRAGNET-SWAT-HAWAII 50-FIRST SEASON OF COPS-ON SCENE EMERGENCY RESPONSE

Backdraft's fire scenes mesmerized me in the theatre. Otherwise, much of the plot is ridiculous to me.
Arnie was fantastic as a firefighter in Collateral Damage.
Oops! That was two movies.

TRUE TRUE I grew up on the show EMERGENCY on TV - it was my all time favorite. I know again, off the movie topic - but highly influenced by firefighter path. Then Rescue 911 (tv series) added a layer.

I'll just watch ANYTHING Kurt Russell is in - and watching him run around in action... perfectly delicious - no plot needed!
