Calling all station chef's, not chief but chef's. I would like to here from you ladies and gentlemen about what the crews in your stations like to sit down and eat for dinner, lunch and at any meal. Small or large station does not matter. On a good night here in my station we are cookiing for 12 - 17. I like cooking for HQ and many hungry firefighters than our station 2 where there is only 4. So let me here from you, so we can share receipts.

At my old house chicken parm, and lots of grilling in the summer time from steaks to burgers. It was usually only 4-5 that were hanging out during the day training or cleaning up around the station but it was still a good time.
Here's something I came up with recently and it has quickly become a favorite.

Take some smoked sausage and cut it in to 4" pieces. You can then grill them, boil them or bake them. Serve them on hot dog buns. Now for the special ingredient.

1- 15 ounce can of yellow corn
1- cup of ranch dressing
1- cup of salsa

Mix thes three together in a bowl and serve like you would chili on the sausage dogs. Sounds weird but tastes great!!
Pasta with red sauce and chicken

brown 4 boneless chicken breast in pan

1stick of butter melted

4or 5 cloves of garlic

2 cans of stewed tomatoes

Once chicken is browned cut into cubes and mix with butter, garlic, and tomatoes

serves 4 or 5
We are too busy to cook and eat without interuption. So I have this good crock pot creation.

Serves 5-6 at just $ 5.00 each

4-5 lb Pot Roast
1- Bag Potatoes
1 - Bag Baby Carrots
4 - Cans Cream of Mushroom Soup
1 - Packet of Dry Onion Soup Mix
1- Bag of Snowflake Rolls

Peel and chop potatoes and mix everything together in the crockpot, set on low for 7-8 hrs.
The roast will fall apart with a fork, and your veggies have simmered in your roast ready to eat.

Clean up is your plate and the crockpot!
A big one at all the houses is the firehouse spaghetti.

Couple cans of hunts tomato paste
couple cans of hunts garlic and herbs tomato sauce
couple packs of mccormicks thick and zesty spaghetti mix
chopped onions
chopped bellpepper
minced garlic
sliced mushrooms
5-10lb pork roast
2-6lb chuck beef
garlic bread

we cook the tomatoe paste down on the stove with a little oil until it turns a dark maroon and thick lump. angle the pan and raise it pushing the paste to one side to strain the oil from the pan. cut up the pork roast into chunks, make several large meatballs, brown the meat with a little oil. after the meat is browned take it out and strain it. throw the onions and bell pepper into the browing pan and cook it down with a little bit of water to make a thick dark gravy. mix in the cans of tomato sauce, spaghetti mix, and the tomato paste into this gravy. add water as neccessary to thin down the sauce. throw in the meat and mix everything together. place pot in the oven at 325 for about 20-25mins.

You can use chicken, turkey, shrimp, italian sausage, etc and different blends of seasonings. everyones comes out different but the main thing that is always the same is how the sauce is made by cooking the tomato paste.
Of course BBQ but ive been adding some salads cause we all hate our greens. Ive been doing some chicken with madarins. or spicy shrimp in the salad, or lettuce wraps supper easy and cheap all you need is ground chicken hoisen sauce terriake sauce some veggies wrap it in lettuce wrap and your good.
