We were sitting around the firehouse table the other day talking to a couple of rookies and the subect came up (as it always does) of what tools do you carry with you in your turnout gear an how do you carry them...

So, In my right bunker pants pocket I carry 20' of 1" tube webbing and a carabiner. In the left side is a back-up flashlight and IV set up pack.

In my right jacket pocket in a old "hose pouch" I have channel locks, screwdriver, punch and knife.

In the left side I have Door chocks, nails, shove knifes, 8' section of webbing...

How about you guys?

Left coat pocket / multi tool and 30ft rope
right coat pocket/ duct tape(what can't be solved with duct tape)
unfathomably toiletries for me are left at the station
I'm a Truckie so my gear is a little bit heavier with tools than most. Ok, here we go:
helmet - 2 wooden chocks and a garrity light in an old inner tube around my helmet

coat radio chest pocket - radio
left coat pocket - left glove, door chock, 6-in-1 screwdriver, trauma shears, pocket knife on the outside
right coat pocket - right glove, grip pliers, cable cutters, door chock
inside coat pocket - small note pad, 3 prong electrical adapter, smoothbore overhaul tip
left pants pocket - 10 ft webbing with handles sewn on each end, 20 ft webbing tied in a loop
right pants pocket - door chocks, extrication/overhaul gloves
Truck belt - 2 carabiners, rope bag w/ 30 ft 8 mm self rescue rope tied to a carabiner

This time of year, I also carry a "ditty bag" with me on the Truck. It has a dry towel, dry gloves, a dry nomex hood, Hazmat/fuel spill gloves, and a winter skull cap
