A CFA crew has come under fire for reckless driving through heavily flooded roads.
THE CFA has launched an investigation after footage emerged showing a tanker nearly submerged as it ploughed through Christmas Day floods.
The CFA has not ruled out a punishment for the three-man crew after the footage raised questions about the fire authority's safety procedures.
The video footage, shot by a bystander, shows a Research CFA crew ignoring the State Emergency Service's advice not to drive through floodwaters.

Sadly, whilst I know you're not being literal, it's not something to laugh at.
The hidden dangers are enormous- washed out roads, collapsed roads, etc.
The firefighters wearing full bunker gear while semi submerged in water is a recipe for disaster.
The damage to the truck and the equipment in the truck could cost thousands to repair or replace.
The list goes on and on.
What was on there minds, they should have found a boat to go through there. Not only did they put them self and the fire truck in danger, they could have hurt or killed some one that might have been trying to get back to higher ground. Now that department will have to get a new fire truck dew to the amount of water damage.
yeah idiots thats really stupid(now that ive done my captain duties) thats one awesome truck the company who makes them should put that in a pamphlet
and yet another reason while firefighters die in the line of duty
The guys in the back look very young and naive. However, the Officer and Driver should defenitely be placed on administrative leave until he/she familiarizes him or her self with the State Emergency Services Operating Procedures. That was just plane idiotic.
"crew members have now been stood down"
On my department, if they were volunteers, they would be looking for a new department to belong to. If they were paid employees, they'd be looking for new employment elsewhere. Either way, they would be out the door.
There is absolutely no justification for this action.
