Suspicious fires....?
Hello one and all....it's just me again....Well as we are all well aware of....the Economy at the present is right in the crapper.....What I would like to know is the % of Fires that you respond to are "suspicious" in nature...? Are you seeing a rise in the number of fires...? Might be a morbid question but one that I think is appropriate to ask......(nosey aren't I..?) LOL thanks again.............Paul

THe only one we've had recently was where the "renter" of the trailer was witnessed sprinting towards the next county when the first due rolled up. Yep...it was a meth lab.
Trailer was gone in minutes.

Actually, not as many as one would think. Majority of the fires we respond to are the number 1 cause out there....cooking related fires.

Paul, as I believe your question was leading towards people who are having financial difficulties and suspicious fires. Honestly I havnt seen this as much as I would suspect it to be an issue. We have many homes where people have just walked away from them and some businesses that have closed but so far nothing to relate to this concern. I hope this dosnt become an issue either.

as do I Chief....I was just thinking about it after a "cause and origin" investigation the other day....things seem to be picking up here in the north country....maybe just a coincidence....but .....well wait and see if it becomes a trend....Just pray to God there isn't a fire-bug out there...thanks for the input all....as always I appreciate it....stay safe
