Study Boosts Case For Medevac Helicopters

We don't hesitate to call for a helicopter for sudden onset. The results have been thus far remarkable.

The research, led by Dr. Brendan Car, University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, noted that 45 percent of Americans, or approximately 135
million people, live more than one hour’s drive from primary stroke
centers where urgent care can save lives or minimize a stroke’s
effects.

I know of 10-12 people that are not only still alive, but function with little to no deficit, and probably wouldn't be here if we hadn't flown them to the Level I. Not a cure all, but a great tool to use if it's available.
