Skateboarder Hurt Hitching Ride on Washington, D.C. Ladder Truck

WASHINGTON - D.C. fire officials say a teenager on a skateboard who grabbed a hook-and-ladder truck that was leaving a fire scene was run over by the apparatus.

It happened Thursday about 6 p.m. in the northwest section of the city. Fire Department spokesman Pete Piringer says the truck was leaving the scene of a small kitchen fire when a 14-year-old male on a skateboard grabbed the truck to be pulled.

The youth fell and the truck ran over his foot. He was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The incident is under investigation.

lol parents. lol well they are prolly goin through the yellow pages trying to find a good lawyer!
Lawyers, hell. There may be a suit, may not, but I wouldn't be worrying about any suit, this was a stupid stunt by a kid who probably "learned" himself now.

As for the mirrors issue, there are parts of the rig you may not see with the mirror, and chances are this was not a long enough ride where perhaps the dumbass was noticed, but the incident occurred before the rig could be stopped.

Fault here lies entirely with the ad wizard skateboarder.
