Out of the following 2007 NFPA compliant SCAB's Avon, Draeger, Scott, Sperian, and MSA what are your thoughts on each pack? If your using one of them now what are your likes dis likes or changes you would like to see?

We have an inhouse guy that does the minor stuff. Anything major gets done by the service tech. I don't know where the cut off for that is.... If you want to know more about it send me an message and I will give you the contact at our station, he can explain more about it. Wish I had more information.

I have used MSA Firehawk with 2 departments and I love them. They are easy to don/doff and to hook up to air. One other thing I like is that they use very few batteries and they are easy to change when needed. One of our neighboring fd's uses another brand (can't remember which) and they have all sorts of problems with batteries and hooking to air. We have a couple new members and they like MSA much better than the other ones.
