Public Fire Educator 1

Has anyone taken their Public Fire Educator recently? I'm looking into taking it at the end of the month. Seems like it would be rather simple and common sense stuff. The Chief of Training issued me a book today, it covers 1 & 2, so I figure if I read the whole thing then I should have no problem passing 1. Anyone comments and advice would be greatly appreciated as usual.

In NC we have a Fire Life Safety Educator certification which I imagine is similiar to your PFE. Here there is a FLSE 1, 2, & 3...I think each level is only 24 hours of class. We do a lot of station tours so I decided to get the certification. I"ve taken 4 of the classes and liked them. Not very difficult either.
