Phoenix Fire Captain hit from behind by dump truck at red light
My brother in law called me from Arizona to let me know the part of the story that the newspaper article does not cover. Apparently, these riders, including the Fire Captain were riding to meet up with a friend who is undergoing cancer treatment. The ride was to show support and brotherhood for their friend who has serious medical problems. Unfortunately, they never made it.

One of the ridders was Wind an Fire MC. Our National President contacted me about this an asked us to remember them in our prayers. I havnt heard recently how everyone who was hospitalized is doing. Any word about how they are doing?

My only intel is from my brother in law, who lives outside of Phoenix. He said the Captain was not out of the woods at all and recalled someone saying he had internal injuries including a broken pelvis. One of the riders saw the truck before it hit the group and was able to almost get out of the way, suffering cuts and bruises only. I'm wondering if the national president is from my department? Is it Jerry Eibert? Just curious. CBz

No John Robbins is retired CDF from Mederra Ca. He is the National Wind an Fire MC President. Very good friend of mine. Actually he is on here. I havnt seen him on here other then when he joined. I guess I should write him and ask.

Not the kind of call I ever want to attend, a biker is so helpless when things go south and I hate to think how badly the captain may be injured. I live close to the Michigan border and traffic slow downs at the bridge/customs have caused some nasty similar collisions.
