We just started a Non-Profit ambulance company, and are looking for the best eCharts and CAD system. Any ideas?

First, I would look at what other agencies in your area are using. This will be especially true if your company needs to interface with other agencies especially with the CAD. 2nd, determine the type of service your company will be providing, medical transport vs 911, and make sure your software will support the reporting requirements. 3rd, Make sure whatever charting/PCR software is compatible with state and/or federal reporting criteria such as Medicare.

Hope you have deep pockets.
I am really liking the zoll system, Thank you Ralph!
What internet (WWAN) do you use? as for the rest ya 2 others in San Diego use it. I read online that some zoll users add laser printers to there rigs to print PCR's right there.

Our goal is simple treat and transport for low or no income persons (mostly ER or code 3 runs), patient transport for clinics, and First Aid services at Public/Fund raising events.
One other thing to mention concerning PCR's.

You need to have a secure system, and rigid policies regarding how the information is transmitted, secured and released, and who may access the records for auditing and QI. I would recommend consulting with legal council to ensure you don't violate HIPPA.
