Cross training. Including cardio and strength training. Eating healthy foods and discarding sodas will help.

Also try and practice what the CPAT consist of. Like dragging a charged 2 1/5 50 feet.

The CPAT test does not incorporate a 2 1/2" charged hose drag. The only hose drag is an uncharged 1 3/4" 75', turn a corner, then 25'....go to a knee and pull the line until a mark on the hose crosses the box.

Get a 50 lb weighted vest and start practicing things like climbing a stairs without touching a railing for 3 minutes. The stair climb is the first of the eight stations to do.
