I AM LOOKING FOR SOME PLACES THAT OFFER ONLINE CERTIFIED TRAINING COURSES THAT ARE FREE. I KNOW THERE ARE SOME ON THE NATIONAL FIRE ACADAMYS WEBSITE. DOES ANY ONE ELSE HAVE ANY OTHER SITES THAT I CAN FIND SOME ON. I AM LOOKING FOR MORE WAYS TO TRY AND GET OUR GUYS TO TRAIN AND I FIGURED THAT DOING PROGRAMS ON YOUR OWN AT YOU OWN PACE WOULD BE A GREAT WAY OF DOING SO. ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED. THANKS
any online college sites that you can list? none of the ones in my area offer online training they want you to come to the actual training facilities, which isnt always a bad thing just looking for some other options for my guys.
I'm from the school of hands on training. Ya gotta be able to apply what you're reading. And if you're looking for stuff to read, aren't there any training books in the brigade?
IN MY DEPARTMENT WE HAVE A PROGRAM CALLED TARGET SAFETY IT IS A WEB BASED PROGRAM SO YOU COULD FIND IT ON THE WEB IM SURE. BUT IT COVERS FROM FIREFIGHTING,EMS,HAZMAT,SAFETY ETC. ITS A GREAT WAY TO TRAIN ON YOUR OWN ITS MANDITORY FOR US TO COMPLETE THE ASSIGNMENTS OUR TRAINING OFFICER SELECTS FOR THE YEAR.
We stopped taking the online academies about 2 years ago. We began to notice that the safety when performing a lot of the skills was missing. I would suggest sitting through a fire academy. Departments have the right to determine what type of training you receive before they hire you. Just a thought.
www.rescueexams.com is great for the test of FF1,FF2,EMTBasic, ect. I like it but does not certifiy and it's free
hope you find what your looking for have fun
