8-29-13 one of our members of 32 years of active service passed after a week in the hospital. He suffered a heart attack while running in a 5k run and when he went down hit his head on a bumper of a car. Steve was a teacher at our school where he taught Ag./shop and was also the track and cross country coach. Not only did he teach at the school but when at the fire house he would share his words of wisdom with anyone he could get to listen. I can honestly say it was a pleasure to know Steve. All 3 of my children had him in school and I enjoyed working with him around the fire house. He will be truly missed around our community and community's around us.
