Need help with equipment issues and repairs.

Need help
I am repairing some equipment at my station and this will include repainting some tools such as axes, halogen bars, pry bars, etc. Does anyone have any answers for this? I have researched this in both NFPA and IFSTA with no luck.

Look at NFPA 1500 chapter 6 for the requirements of repair and painting of equipment.

The only paint on any of our tools is a 3 inch band of paint to denote what apparatus it's from. Otherwise we strip all the paint off tools so we can see if they develope any cracks.
