HARRISBURG, Mo. (AP) -- A Boone County firefighter is injured when her pumper truck overturns as she rushes to a grass fire.

The Columbia Tribune is reporting that Samantha Lamp overcorrected after the truck she was driving went off the side of the road Wednesday afternoon. The truck overturned 1 1/2 times and caught fire near Harrisburg.

Boone County Fire Protection District division chief Gale Blomenkamp says a firefighter in another truck helped Lamp out of the truck.

She was not burned but complained of head and neck pain. She was taken to the Boone Hospital Center. Lamp was the only occupant of the truck.

Blomenkamp says the fire the truck was responding to was easily contained by additional units dispatched after the wreck.

The crash closed Route J for more than two hours.

My prayers are with her Get well soon
Also according to the article, she WAS wearing her seatbelt which probably kept her from being more seriously injured
Get well soon
my thiughts and prayers are with her tru speedy recovery
My thoughts and prayers are with her and her whole dept. Let this be a great time to say we all should be wearing our seatbelts. It may have saved her a lot of injuries who knows. Thank god she was wearing hers. Second I am just as guilty as anyone else we all need to remeber we didnt start the crisis and it will still be there if it takes us another 10 secs to get there safe. Take care and stay safe
Our thoughts and prayers are with her for a speedy recovery.
