OK folks...Here is a little thread to lighten things up a bit...I responded to a discussion a few minutes ago and I thought ....Hey why not have some fun here....so Here it is.....Give it your best shot...Open to all....Male....Female....and yes even you "others"....example....Both marriage and Firefighting have an "IC"(no its not me). Both involve a lot of heat. Marriage...counselor, Firefighting....Cause and origin. Both started with a small spark. Both are considered "strenuous activities". Both involve sweat and tears.....You get the idea....have fun with it and please don't get upset with it....it is all in fun......Paul
A very wise fire instructor who I looked up to as a rookie once said, "The keys to a successful fireground operation are communication, teamwork, dedication, and passion." You must communicate with your team, and most importantly with your partner. You must be able to perform tasks with no guides, no predictable outcome, in the worst of situations, and do it calmly. You must be willing to do whatever is necessary to make sure all ends well. And you must love this job. I am a fireman - these things are second nature to me... when it comes to things that are burning. Unfortunately it's apparently illegal to set your significant other ablaze - so it appears I may be single for a while. :-P
