What do you think about this way of walking a hose out? Do you agree with it. Would you prefer to put the hose over your shoulder and walk it out that way or do it like this? Tell me what you think?
I never found this task to be as labour intensive when compared to repacking the hose bed... now if someone has a device to do that I'd be interested.
On the serious side I'd want to try it before passing judgement . Do you get enough lift like this?
I think the last thing this should be called is lazy. Especially considering the post on firefighter LODD's due to heart failure. It sure is nice to see that when the call is over and the clean up is underway, there are easier ways to do it!
What's to agree or disagree with? It likely prevents any water being left in the house and after you have worked clean up for a couple of hours coming on shift at the end of a 5 alarmer, you would be awfully happy to have one.
Hey, when it comes to LDH, these things are worth the investment. We've had the little hand-held version with rollers and 2 handles, but I sure wish had the "lazy way!" LOL
This not a lazy way....very smart.would love to have the plans/design for this....we looked at "the rollinrack"......to pricey for us,this would fit very well on a truck.Don't know how much 5" you have squeezed out before....but after being at a fire for almost 10 hours...and then having to pickup 5-600 feet of 5"(handheld roller and me)...would have loved having this there. Was one tired dog after that.
