There actually is a deeper thought behind this post...
It's a post designed to be threadjacked.
It doesn't matter what you post, it's still a threadjack.
You can post anything from the deepest thought (with all apologies to Jack Handey) to that simplest of punctuation marks, the period, and your threadjack will still be successful.
You can reply to another threadjack reply in the middle of the post and still be the last post. or you can post the reply farthest down the last page and be the last post.
No matter what you post, your championship will be as fleeting as a puff of smoke in the wind.
The only one who can guarantee his own win is the thread's author...if he closes replies quickly enough after he posts the "last" post.
Isn't it amazing that so much deep thought and strategy can go into such a meaningless and time-wasting game? Isn't it amazing that the meaningless and time-wasting gets so much traction while truly insightful posts are nuked due to personal animosity, immaturity, or a combination of both? The clock is ticking...lets see how long this one survives. 12:15 PM EDT, Sunday, Oct. 18, 2009.
Insightful post? you must be joking, why would anyone want to post a truly useful post, wheres the fun in that. Oh maybe its because people could actually learn something, but hey were firefighters we already know it all anyways.
