Maybe the video didnt look the greatest but I can say this... Gary is about a 25 minute drive from my town and I have been fortunate enough to train with GFD on more then one occasion. These guys dont mess around!!! If they say there was a problem with water, you can bet there was a serious problem with water. These are some of the toughest firefighters on the planet! They work in one of the roughest areas for the shittiest pay. They have my respect
I guess I am spoiled, because, when I respond to a working structure fire like this one or any size for that matter, I am in FULL gear, including airpack, I might take my airpak off to rehab when needed, but If I am in the IDLH atmosphere or even close, I wear full gear. Also, at least one radio per company. The company officer at the very least, but everyone "Should" have a radio. What happens when someone goes down? How do we hear the Mayday?
Otherwise, put the wet stuff on the red stuff, and the fire went out....good job to Gary, I am sure there are a lot of other departments out there who fight fire just like this, I just want to say be careful, If you have safety gear, wear it, thats what its for, dont be the "cool" firefighter who can "do it" without proper gear, I dont like to attend furnerals.

Thanks!
