Is anyone still actively managing this social network? Is anyone actively promoting this network?

That's a good question, I totally forgot about this Social Media until I saw an advertisement on Facebook and Instagram.

It seems extremely outdated and I noticed that many threads don't get a lot of responses. I would be nice if someone would be able to take the time to update this network to be more current and promote it better. When I first got on there seemed to be a lot of interaction, but not so much right now.

I've noticed what you're speaking of, I went exploring in several of the tabs and it seems to be like a deserted/ghost town.  I did send an email to four individuals asking them if the website been abandoned, let's see if anyone replies.

Curious as well.  Would appreciate an update here if you find out anything.  Looking for a FF related online community to be social in.

Hi Ron. I am going to try and get ahold of an administrator to see what's up. :)

It is maintained and operated by the Clarion Fire & Rescue Group, owners of the sites FirefighterNation.com and others.  There are plans to update it but there is no definite timeline at this point.  It was created before we had social media which now is where most online conversations take place.  I'm sure you have also seen that member participation is quite low.  Forums are no longer what they once were.

As an online community it grows based on member input and use.  When there is none it is largely quiet.

I replied to your email. Thank you for responding. I hope this can become an active site again at some point.

I am a long time member and now retired. I have seen a definite decline in activity and posts here. I hope that we can get things going here and see a positive growth of good participation and activity.

with the holiday seasons entering into the equation people have been busy!  I know I have been very busy since the pacemaker was implanted back in april

I feel wonderful but have been out far more often with public service functions.

(delivering meals for shut-ins due to covid)

celebrating the birth of our first granddaughter (younger son and wife) and the wedding of our oldest son.

Its been a very busy part of the year for me.

Glad you’re doing well. Congrats on your family milestones.

We were busy at our department last month, house fires mostly. It’s slowed down a lot this month. We are an all volunteer department. Usually only running 50 - 60 calls a year.

Hope your new year goes well.

its being managed but even with trying to promote the site in my area there is very little interest among most of the members of our dept. to want to get involved with a forum site.

usually those of us on these sites are already familiar with how forums work.

I think its because they dont want to come off as ignorant or something to that effect.

some of the guys on this site are from cities and some are from rural areas, so we are talking different procedures and situations.

If only this forum could be on TikTok or fb the guys at the station might actually put in some input. I’ll hang over here with the veterans in the old school forum!
