For first responder calls, assuming you mean medical calls, I don't usually wear them. I'm the one filling out the report. On fire calls, never. They are in my right pocket of my bunker pants. I do, however, have rubber gloves kept in a package in my left coat pocket just in case though.
NEVER mine are hooked onto my coat. Maybe you should look into getting them some glove keeers like I have. they are cheap and you will never forget them. Also I have a spare pair in my right bunker pants pocket.
Keep them in your turn out gear pockets or set them ontop of your boots and you will never forget them again!
Hey Capt. on our medical calls everyone wears gloves ...even if you are filling out paperwork. We never know if the ones that show up on scene will be needed or not. We copy down medications for the Ambulance Crew instead of them having to look at all the bottles again so they can turn there attention to the patient. On fire calls if you forget your gloves , you become the chiefs foot rest. Be Safe
Hard to forget mine, they are in my left pants pocket....unless of course I forget my bunker pants.....LOL Paul
Never always have a couple of pairs in my car or trunk...
Never, they are in my pockets of my turn out gear, I carry two pairs at all times
i have done that once but know i keep em in my turnout pants
Never have, and hopefully never will. Firefighting gloves are in a velcro keeper attached to my bunker coat, rescue gloves are in my bunker pants pocket, and medical latex gloves are in my cpr mask case in my bunker coat pocket. I also keep an extra set of all three types of gloves in a flight helmet bag I take with me on virtually every call.
as far as fire gloves go I keep two pairs in my bunker pants. Medical gloves we have a few boxes on every truck and the ambulance is always full of them so not a problem for us. We did have a FF that left her gloves in the station while we were leaving for a structure fire. She actually wanted us to stop the engine in the middle of the street and wait so she could run back in to get them. Needless to say she got stuck running the pump and she was pissed at us for not stopping for about a week after that.
we never forget ours
structual gloves in the pants and general gloves in the jacket and if they get wet they dry on top of our helmits so we would need to be a real muppet to leave them behind
