How many officers does your department have?

In some departments, there are different organizational structures. A small company can have a lot of officers, and there's the large departments that have what seems to be an insufficient amount of officers due to the call volume and other stuff. How many officers does your firehouse / EMS company have (like chief-grade officers, lieutenants, safety officers, etc.)?

We have 6 officers. Chief, Asst Chief, Capt, Safety Officer and 2 Lieutenants. We have about 20 active members in our department,we cover about 110 square miles, and have about 2000 homes/ structures,plus lots of open land sowe have a large potential for brush fires.

The city of Reading has 4 platoons for a total of 22 Officers:

Chief of the Department (mon-fri day shift)
Each platoon has
1St Deputy Chief (Shift Boss)
2nd Deputy Chief (Platoon Boss)
Suppression LT. (Rides the Rescue)
EMS LT. (Rides on 1 of the 3 ALS rigs)

There is a EMS 1st Deputy (mon-fri day shift)
Fire Marshall with 2 fire prevention LT (mon-fri day shift)
Training LT. (mon-fri day shift)

MY VOL. DEPT. HAS 72 PEOPLE ON THE ROST. ,WHICH ONLY MAYBE 15 GUYS SHOW UP TO A CALL !
1 CHEIF

4 CAPTAINS
6 LIEUT.

my voly fd has a chief, asst chief, safety officer, captain and 3 lieutenants, but 2 of those are experinced officers and 1 is a new officer so he can get his experience in officer stuff.

We have:

1 Chief
1 Asst. Chief
1 DC
1 Capt
3 Lieut.

We have 34 firefighters split 3 ways among the Lt's who handle any issue among the firefighters. The Capt is over the disciplinary actions involving the firefighters. Our DC is on leave of absence and the Cheif and Asst handle all the admin stuff dealing with the department

We do not have enough chief officers... with only two battalions, one north with 9 stations and one south with 7 stations. we really need to develop a third battalion just based on our distances between stations. It takes just under three hours to drive from our most southern station to our most northern station. Of course, by helicopter then it's less than 20 minutes. We have also taken over the fire protection responsibilities for two new communities, which stretches the span of control to it's limits. Hopefully, if we survive the budget issues facing our state, we will be able to grow accordingly. Until then, you have to continue doing more with less.

It shows the difference between our goverments and departments. We are well budgeted for and with the new fires, money will be comming at us thick and fast.
It's a pitty that fires make goverments move

Here in Clarendon, Vermont we have; 1 Chief, 1 Ast. Chief, 3 Capts, 2 LT's, (1 Open LT Slot), and 1 Safety Officer.
