How its made is a really great show. They have done a lot on how turnout gear is made and fire apparatus as well. If I remember right they have done other things related to the fire service as well. Very interesting to see....

Yeah they have done ambulances, fire boots, fire helmets, and turnout gear.

does anybody have a link for the turnout gear? I've seen the helmets and trucks, but not the gear.

Made in America had an episode were they showed how our turnout gear was made and it was really cool. Unfortunately I can't seem to find the episode on line without it being to purchase the dvd. I also never realizes how hard it would be to find the episode from a show. I will keep looking and maybe with a little luck I can find one. If I do I will definitely put the link up...

I found the Globe manufacturing episode in Made in American on itunes for $2. Its season 2, episode 4.

Anyone ever see the show Risk Takers? They have done one on Phoenix Firefighters, one on Forest Firefighters, and one on Paramedics. Those were very interesting too.
