Hey all...yup another newbie for initiation!

Name is Barb and I am an EMT in Illinois and going through my Fire 2 this summer and hopefully getting accepted into the Medic program at Ingalls Hospital. Looking to get my rescue diving cert this summer as well. This is an awesome site with so much information and educational tools at my dispense. I look forward to chatting with some of you newbies and vets to get a better gear on my career path(s). Stay safe...!

What a career path you have chosen! You'll never be bored and no two days will be the same , but it sounds to me like your up for the challenge .
I'm a Canadian instructor so some of our material may differ slightly but in the end we all require the same knowledge, so if I can be of any assistance don't hesitate to ask, I always stress that my students ask as many questions as they need to clarify any doubts they encounter.
Good luck in your new career and don't loose your enthusiasim.

Welcome to FFN! I'm a neighbor across the Indiana border (well almost, about a 2-1/2 hr drive from Chicago to my town)

I guess you could say that I am a newbie. I use to be a memeber a while ago but lost contact so I am starting over. I have my fire 1 and just got my ECA. Going back to get my Fire 2 this summer.
