I'm thinking about trying to make my own helmet shield, is there any kits or any suggestions on what i should get to try to make one?

Thick leather and some heavy-duty waxed thread. And a few sailmakers needles. That should get you started.

Don't do it....if it isn't NFPA approved you will just be wasting your time.....

NFPA approved shield? I can't tell if you're being sarcastic and messing around or you're serious.
for show, i have a small collection and my department is standardizing everything so it wont be on my helmet
valor for a an old g5 new yorker and maybe on for a cairns 900
