Aloha from Hawaii Brothers and Sisters!!!

I was just curious to know what are good "Hands On Training" or HOT classes and expos around the nation. Ever since I've joined the fire service...I have always wanted to attend an event like this...to learn as much as I can, and be able to bring back solid training and learning to my department. It would also be a great honor to meet other firefighters from across the nation and just hang out when classes aren't going on. Please let me know if any of you have ever been to an even like this. I really would like to start planning for something next year. I know for a lot of the big events, you have to register a year in advance.

The annual Pittsburgh Fire Expo in Pittsburgh, PA holds some pretty good hand on classes, as well as some great lectures and classroom stuff. You'll have to wait until October though.

http://www.pittsburghfireexpo.com/ As things get lined up for the Expo like classes, demos, etc., etc they'll add them to the website.
Haven't yet, but never know if I might get the chance to attend one someday. Be Safe Brother
FDIC in Indianapolis, pretty much the granddaddy of them all, runs for a week.
Here's a link to a gallery of pictures of one of the hands on classes held at the Pittsburgh Expo in 07. And if you read the intro you can see these classes are taught by some very experienced firefighters from all over the country.
