I need some help with something, I live in a town of about 900 people in Missouri. The revenue we receive from taxes and so on is just about enough money to work on our trucks and buy one new set of turnout gear a year. Our station consists of an oversized tractor barn, 2 engines ( one which is a 1985 thats always acting up), an ambulance, and a 60's model tanker. We dont cover a large area, but we do mutual aid other stations that are within a 15 mile area. Who would I have to contact to get a station grant, equipment grant, vehicle grant, or whatever? We could use any help possible, thank you.

Contact your local incedent managment cordinator he should be able to help you file for grants, also you could check online the fed. gov. always has grants out there you just got to do some digging.
Good luck and be safe

David, you definately need to look at local, state, and DNR grants as well as the FEMA AFG grants located here http://www.fema.gov/firegrants/afggrants/index.shtm unfortunately the AFG grants have passed for this year but you should begin thinking about next year as they tend to change the priorities from year to year.
Best of luck to you and your department.
