Why I Joined Fire/EMS

At the age of 9 my house burnt down and for years I feared any kind of fire. As I got older I wanted to understand it, and then at request of a friend of mine who was a firefighter I chose to learn how to overcome that fear and joined a volunteer fire dept.

I just feel it is part of me
