Hey everyone, I need some help. We had a benefit dinner Saturday for one of our firefighter's and we had a TON of left over hamburger. I have one huge roll (more than 10 pounds) left in my freezer. I thought for our training on Sunday, I would cook everyone lunch with this left over hamburger, but I don't know what to fix. I really don't feel like hauling a grill over there and standing out in the heat grilling, any body have any ideas? I need something fairly easy to make that will go over well. I will be cooking for 15-20 people or so. Any suggestions would be appreciated!! I don't want this hamburger to go to waste!
I thought maybe it would be easy to cook something in a slow cooker or crockpot, but have no idea what to make.
Thanks!

Hey Katie,
I'm assuming you mean ground meat, and if that's the case you could always make a meatloaf. Get a box of townhouse cracker, a couple eggs, and an onion. Take a whole sleeve of the crackers and crush them up real fine and put it in the meat, crack the eggs and put them in as well, chop up some onion and mix it all together along with some seasonings. Then put it in a pan and shape it into a large rectangle. I advise cooking it around 325-375 for roughly 15mins with it covered with foil. Then take the foil off and put a couple cans of tomato sauce ontop of it and let it cook for an additional 10mins, pull it out and make a few cuts down it to see if its cooked. I like to keep mine a light light pink in the middle before turning off the stove and letting it stay in there until ready to serve, this way it doesn't dry out. Some mashed potatoes and greenbeans/corn and rolls go great with it!

Have Tacos, All you need is a bunch of flour and corn shells, and shredded cheese and lettuce and some taco seasoning and of course some good old firehouse salsa
Meet Balls, and Spaghetti. Just add more meetballs to the dish.
try sloppy joes, ground beef, ketchup, mustard, vinegar, brown sugar, water to thin. brown ground beef, add 2-3 bottles of ketchup, 2 tablespoons of mustard, quarter cup of vinegar, half lb of brown sugar, thin with water, add salt and pepper to taste, serve on rolls. cooked this for years at boy scout camp, always a winner.
hamburger helper lol
How about Cheese Burgers LOL
I actually ended up making a huge cooker full of cheeseburger macaroni hamburger helper, mixed with corn. It went over really well, not a single bite left!
A huge hit at our fire dept is Chili. We make diff levels of spicy so everyone can enjoy what they like!!!!
thank you everyone, i actually ended up making a huge roaster full of hamburger helper (the cheeseburger macaroni kind) and mixed it with corn. It was a huge hit, not a single bite left!! We also had just scalloped potatoes as a side, cookies and cake for dessert.
