I am in full understanding that when looking for a job that a Firefighter/EMT diploma will give an edge to getting hired. However since I can remember, there has always been a wall between career vs volunteer. Of course the list could go on and on where one may say one is better than the other, where egos collide. To be honest it makes me sick to hear this, when we are all here to do the same for our communities. Other than the fact to one my go to work and get paid to do their job explain to me what differances are there in the training between a Fire Science Degree vs. Firefighter/EMT Diploma, other than the fact one has your EMT-B included. Please feel free to go into detail, because this may answer the age old question. Is one really better than the other?
