MFB firefighters trapped on Pharaoh's Curse at Melbourne's Luna Park, St Kilda
DOZENS of firefighters found themselves needing rescue after they were left dangling upside down when a Luna Park ride malfunctioned.
The Metropolitan Fire Brigade members were celebrating their Christmas party in St Kilda when a thrill ride - believed to be the Pharaoh’s Curse - jammed midway through a loop.
Firefighters used to coming to the rescue of people trapped and in trouble had to wait upside down while observers at Luna Park called colleagues at the nearby fire station.
Let's all hope that the firefighters waiting upside down to be rescued were having a good time of it and not screaming like a bunch of elementary grade schoolgirls.
