Finally finished all of my training . . . now I can relax!
It feels good to finally finish all of your training and be able to finally just sit back and watch the others. It creates such a sense of accomplishment knowing that you have reached the top and can enjoy the view from the top.
I don't know why some people get all bent out of shape over training, sure it is tough sometimes but after you finish it you don't have to worry about it anymore. Plus then you can tell all the young bucks that you've been there and done that and now know it all.
Training is kind of like riding a bike. Once you do something you never forget. It can be years later before you try to ride again but once you start peddling it all comes back to you. Thats why it is so important to cram as much training in when you are young and fresh. Get it all out of the way so you can enjoy the rest of your time.
For those who don't know me or can't tell, the above was all tongue in cheek and VERY sarcastic. Training is dynamic and ever changing and should be embraced. As Alfred Tennyson wrote "to strive, to seek, to find and not to yield!"

I almost thought you were going to say you were retiring John. I was told that whenever you think you've learned it all, you'd better get out quick before you hurt yourself or someone else. I just finished a 12hour Incident Safety Officer(ISO) class and something that was stressed over and over was how things are constantly changing and aren't the same as they were from as little as 10-15years ago. I love training, hands-on moreso than bookwork and classroom stuff, but I can never know enough about the job I love so much doing.
