I don't know what kind of questions they will ask there, but if they are anything like here, they will be experience based questions. "Tell us about a time..."
Have stories of good and bad experiences and present them in this manner.
S - Situation
T - Task
A = Actions
R - Result

Think about the way you tell the story. You start with what the situation/event was, you talk about what you had to do, they you go on to explain your actions and finally, you discuss the results. You can also discuss how you felt about the results, especially if it was "Tell us about a time you delivered poor customer service." You can discuss what you would have done differently.

Google fire interview examples, or psych based questions until you find some examples. Have as many answered prepared as possible, but realize that you will likely be asked something else! haha! Examples:
- Why is physical fitness important in the fire service?
- WHy is discipline important in the fire service?
- You are given an order from an officer that you feel is unsafe, what do you do?
(have him/her repeat the order, and know that you will not be doing it alone. He and the rest of your crew is more than likely with you. He also may have many years of experience and will be viewing this task with different eyes than you)

I subsitute teach on my days off from the FD. A sociology teacher was talking to his class about testing for jobs, I was asked if there was any controversial firefighter test questions. So I ask my fellow FFN junkies if you have any controversial firefighter test questions or had heard of any. Just let me know what the question is, and if you can tell me why the question was being used.
