Firefighter is my preference. Although the truth is you will see Firefighter, Fire Fighter, and Fireman, all used interchangeably.
I say fireman. It's an older traditional word here that's used often in larger east coast cities. Region of the country can change what you hear. I always said firefighter when I worked in the midwest.
Come on capcityff you guys are all
Your response is cut off after "you guys are all". So I'm not sure what you're trying to say.
Damn this site always cuts off my posts for some damn reason. I was saying somewhat tongue in cheek that:
Come on capcityff you guys are all called DCFEMS now anyways. All modern and hip!!
Firefighter is correct US and British English when referring to a person who's job it is to extinguish fires. The word is found in both British and US dictionaries.
so FIRE FIGHTER is not correctly? i'm sorry i have bad english.
The true is FIREFIGHTER?
Hello, Thank you all who join to my discussion for good English Word. please tell me correct writing.
I agree that "firefighter" (all one word) is correct. Your English is fine. No need to apologize.
