Our department is purchasing a couple New tankers, and one of the Tankers is going to have a Crimson Boomer on it, has anyone had experience with this device ? I like the idea of having a rated pump on the Tanker, and in theory the "Boomer" seems good.

Any input would be great, thanks

This is not the truck we are getting, but the truck will have the "Boomer" on it.

Hey Kevin.
Quite frankly, I have not heard of the "boomer". Looking at it, it appears it would be extremely effective in your neck of the woods, with the oil refineries etc. Is it telescoping? I remember a thing called the telesquirt... similar idea, but they had some sort ladder on. Lots of good uses for that peice of equipment.
Must be nice to be a dept. with money! lol
It doesn't extend, but it has scene lights and connections for hose and hydraulic tools. It won't be used for the industrial side, we have portable monitors which put out like 16000 lpm.
Went on to my last night shift and watched some videos on the "Boomer", also talked to one of the guys that went down to Texas to spec the Tanker .... learned it is the Biggest tanker truck ever built in Texas .... and it is coming to Canada ... LOL

I will attach photos when it arrives
Well most of our tankers carry similar amounts of water ... the difference with this "Super Tanker" is that it will have a rated Pump on it, it will be nice to have a tanker with a 6000 lpm @ 700kpa pump on it. and for you American folks that is 1500 GPM @ 100 PSI lol
This is one of those times where you have to do your own research do to local concerns that can absolutely impact you down the road...

1. Contact competitors and ask them why you should not buy the apparatus in question.
2. Find out ahead of time who does the warranty work on the Boomer. Mechanics are always your best source of info. And how far do you have to drive to have work done on your rig? Do they pay for warranty work including transporting your rig on a flat bed, at no charge to you?
3. Who else has one? Are they happy? Talk to the engineers who pump and drive the rigs.

Thank you, all the research has been done, I am not part of the committee that specs out trucks, an I hope they would have done all that, I am more looking from an operator stand point.
