Musta been a slow news day in Buffalo. At first glance, it appears the truck driver probably thought ok, my lights are on, everything HAS TO STOP! I AM ON THE ROAD! Probably never considered that since it is winter, the roads might be a bit slippery, and that car just might not be able to stop on the proverbial dime. (which is why the car struck near the back of the rig) WTF would another few seconds have made? well.. for one thing.. the truck could have more that likely finished the run!
My thoughts are the truck driver was at fault. Failing to yeild? hmmmm that might be something to consider too!
Drive safe folks. Arrive alive.
Brian it is possible that it is the engineers fault but it is also possible that the car is at fault. The car could have been speeding or not paying attention. Personally I will wait until LEO makes the call as to who is at fault before I place blame. All I can say is always use as much caution as possible before going out into a roadway. Be safe.
