We just purchased Bristol fire gear and doesnt seem very well known. Does anybody have any pros or cons to it. It seems to be as thick as the new Morning Pride. Just used to my Globe Xtreme which is thick and heavy. I see new gear is getting thinner and lighter just curious to see what its like come winter time... for warmth.

The only 'Bristol' PPC I know of is the British company - that the ones? If so they've been making the stuff for years, are makers of the current PPC being issued in Britain.

What is it like in winter? Sorry, no idea. But the stuff I wear is fairly thin and light, plenty warm enough in our winter and cooks us in summer. Admitedly, our winter is never that cold really...
Yes its the British company.
Our winters in NW Pa. can get brutal. Dont know how its gonna due when its 10 degrees f with a wind chill in the neg degree or just in the 20's and 30's.
i had no problems with my Bristol gear when we wore it, few years ago we went to Viking.
Dave could be your answer Chris? He's in MA, gets pretty cold there I think?

Being situated where they are (Europe gets pretty cold in the north) I think Bristol should be supplying suitable gear. As long as it was asked for properly.
How was it wear wise and for cold weather
Vikings suits works fine up here in northern Europe.
Last winter lowest temp. -30C ;)
You certainly know cold weather up there mate! The only '30C' I'm used to is the one without the '-' , +30C is nice weather ;o) It's all what you're used to isn't it? I think I'd be wise to visit Finland in the summer...
