OK...I have about had it with the "discussions" about Jrs. on calls...We seem to want to discuss Jrs. and the issues that they deal with so I thought that I would add to that same discussion. What time do you think would be an appropriate bedtime for the Jrs. ? 8:00pm on school nights....? Maybe stay up until 9:00pm or 10:00pm on weekends or holidays...? And how about the "colors" of their pajamas.....? What kind of slippers should be worn and why..? What "color" bicycle is best...? I am sure tis will be enough to make my point.....sorry, If I hurt some feelings but what goes around comes around.....Stay safe............Paul
I am beginning to question the notion that there are no stupid questions.
But then, with juniors, we are reminded to consider the source.
We are told to handle them gently or we will sour them.
It's getting harder to see the good articles and good discussions give way to the hah-hah and boo-hoo stuff.
Christ; we have to get serious at some point, because this is serious stuff.
Too many fart cushions and not enough seats at the table.
I feel your frustration, Paul.
Thank God, I am going to FDIC in another month.
At least there, the kids are optional.
Sorry to resort to this nonsense but really...when will it end.....I am very thankful that our Department did not get into the Jr program.....we get great young people age 18 that are still in school or even college students...Not an issue....but below 18 the liability is just too much....seems some donot undestand what a lawsuit can do to a community or a Department......Paul
My dear friend Paul. I thought you had already heard! There's a new website on the horizon! From what I hear, there will be unlimited threads about helmet and fire engine colors, and posts will be encouraged to use twitter style texting for responses. It's guaranteed to be a winner, don't you think?
Line Officers have gotten the word.....They will be responsible for tucking the Jrs. in and giving the customary kiss goodnight...Senior Firefighter on duty is responsible for looking under the bed for the Boogie-man....Least senior Firefighter has to check the cot for Bed-bugs and to get the drink of water that will undoubtfully be asked for....and don't forget the night-light.....Paul
Thanks Capt. I will be able to sleep better knowing that all is not lost....I will bet $10 even up that the comments continue here though......LOL Paul
Fireladd....at your age one would expect that you might piss yourself.......LOL...they make "Attends" just for that purpose......Sorry couldn't help myself.....
Ralph. What color are the pills. can we take the pints to the scene and what age do you have to be to participate in those hi jinks? Do I need a consent form?
Could this forum not be renamed "Adult Firefighting & Rescue Discussion (Juniors please use "Juniors & Explorers")". We can always turn a blind eye to those juniors who are sensible and post here, there are some. Any 'what colour is your helmet' and 'juniors are firefighters' etc threads that arrive here could always be transferred over to the correct forum as well.
I have only rarely looked at the Juniors & Explorers forum, I'm not a junior...
