Australia is currently experiencing huge flooding from excessive rain.

Deaths and destruction... and inland tsunamis...

My news compared it to the U.S. Hurricane Katrina in destruction area - thankfully not equal in death toll - but the flooding continues.

My thoughts and prayers are with all our Australian brothers and sisters who are rescuing in these conditions and all those who are fleeing their homes to safety.

I am sure there is much better news on it - maybe FFN webmaster can post some, since everyone in Australia is working their tails off.

Vic - OMG

SHARKS !!!!!!!!!!!

I have to say I have not rescued in shark infested waters - that adds a whole new spin on the job.
Thanks for stopping by and giving us an update. Be safe. Hang in there.
Sharks???? Wow.... Only down under....
Hi Patti. Yesterday there was a picture of a gorgeous croc on the banks of the Brisbane river. Crocs normally are about 1,500 miles up north so who know how this one ended up in the river? So Patti, when you coming down under to help us with the rescue efforts - after all how can you be taken by one of the bull sharks when you are being attended to by a croc?

You know... As beautiful as I hear it is in Australia and as much as I would love to come and visit.... Not going to happen.... I was never into big bugs and reptiles.... Had my fill when I was in Georgia....
I've worked some fairly good size floods in my time, but the news this morning was comparing the affected area to be the size of Texas and New Mexico combined. That is a lot of water.

In addition to the sharks Vic refers to, I'm also hearing of a big problem with the crocodiles and I'm sure some very poisonous snakes as well. (as if they didn't have enough to worry about)

I'll add my thoughts and prayers with everyone else's.

Holy Cow what a video!!!!!

Stay safe guys....
Yep, they look really great in a picture....
Ohh come on Patti - it's not that bad. Oprah just loved it when she was down here last month. You'd really love our cute little huntsman spiders if you ever did come on down and visit us . . .
