One Suspect Arrested - 16 MORE FIRES LIT THIS MORNING - ARSONIST(S) ON THE LOOSE.. AT LEAST 52 FIRES IN 95 HOURS - Los Angeles, CA
An arsonist or multiple arsonists in Hollywood, CA, have lit at least 53 fires between Thursday Night Dec 29 and this morning, Monday, Jan 2, 2012...

Arsonist(s): 55 +/- fires in less than 88 hours... [the exact # of fires is unclear, since they are still ruling out natural fires, and copy cat fire setters]

Most of the fires have been car fires in which the arsonist is using the car as ammunition to start the nearby buildings on fire - as you see in the pictures of car fires of a car in a carport attached to apartments.
The fire departments and police departments and ATF are doing an amazing job of warning people and rescuing people and investigating... thus far no one has died - but at this rate, loss of human life is only a matter of time.

Status update:
11 more arson fires were lit this morning in Hollywood
this article discusses one person has been detained - but they are struggling to identify exactly how many arsonists there are - which ones are copy cat or natural fires - and exactly how many fires can be attributed specifically to each (the arsonist)

Things have been unusually slow here lately, so if someone in Hollywood would be good enough to supply the arsonist detainee with a one-way ticket to Philadelphia, I would happily reimburse the individual. (And maybe a little something extra for your trouble.)

interestingly - on Thursday - the LAPD arrested two other male arsonists who had set 4 other fires in the same area... un-related to this rampage - just coincidentally during the same span of time

Los Angeles Mayor/Police/Fire Press Conference just reported...
24 Male, Harry Burkhart - from Germany - was arrested at 3 AM this morning after video footage caught him as a person of interest near fires and by standers called in his car as suspicious near several fires
he was arrested - and is now being held without bail
52 fires leading to at least $3 Million Dollars of damage.... and no loss of life... and only minor injuries among firefighters and residents
fingers-crossed this is the end..............
YEAH LAFD !!!! AND ALL THOSE WHO HAVE BEEN WORKING HARD ON THIS !!!!
