I've been wanting to see this for a while now but it never comes around the Cleveland area. Detroit is my biggest influence to start my fire career so its a must see for me!
Mike.. awesome job! Thanks for posting this. Gut wrenching, pride instilling, seems to cover the whole spectrum in this one video. I feel for the brothers and sisters in Detroit, and after seeing this, it sure puts things into perspective. I will never say another bad thing about Detroit... not that I ever have.. those folks deserve our respect. Good luck and for god's sake stay safe!
oh..and put on those damn masks when working in smoke. Those little kids deserve to have their parents longer. If you won't do it for your own sake.. do it for theirs! :)
Thanks again Mike. Stay safe!
Hats off to the Detroit Fire Department for their courage and to the people who produced the video.
a lot of people bash them but i dont think a lot of people realize how much how much they do on so little. they average about 25-30 fires in a 24 hour time period. it amazes me how they do it sometimes
