Yesterday and today are the anniversaries of two fires that took the life's of 18 of our brother firefighters. 

40 years ago yesterday the Vendome Fire in Boston MA  on June 17, 1972 killed 9 Boston Firefighters when the building collapsed during overhaul and injured multiple others.

Today is the 5th anniversary of the Charleston 9,  On June 18, 2007 9 Charleston firefighters made the ultimate sacrifice at the Sofa Super Store fire.

May we never forget our fallen brothers and may we learn from their tragedies to help protect and save the brothers of the present and future.
