Hi, I would like some help. Does anyone know here I can get old photos of firefighters and or fire scenes? I am an artist on the side and I have lately been doing paintings of older fire scenes from the early 70s and older. Actually the older the better. Does anyone have any photos or know of any websites that I can get some pics to use as reference material for my art ? I have exhausted my departments limited photo archives and Im asking for help.

Google has very very limited pics. I have looked.
Excellent ! thank you !
Not sure where you're located Galen, but if you ever make it out to Washington, DC, we have a great museum as well. It's located at 3 Engine on the border of downtown and Capitol Hill near Union Station and the US Capitol building. They made a lot of changes and opened it up to the public without appointments being needed about a year ago. There's a lot of history in there and they are working with the Smithsonian museums I've been told. They even have Francis Scott Key's fire bucket.
Thank you ! I will have to do that. I went to D.C. in 1999 as a Chaperone, I will have to make a return trip on my own to visit there.
