I am the Training Lieutenant for a Department in St Boni, Minnesota and want to arrange a basic class on a drill night for my guys on Aircraft Crashes and Rescue, Scene Management and the like, I am always looking for new ideas for the training programme and thought this would be an interesting subject.

If anyone in the Twin Cities area can help or put me in contact with somebody, that would be great.

Thanks and be safe...

I have taught many ARFF programs. Check out my profile page.

Stay safe.
Contact the UNR Fire Science Academy outside of Carlin, NV. They specialize in industrial and ARFF fire/rescue.
Hey LT. If you're near an airport, check with the F.D. that protects it. That's what we did here and they had some great training and props.
Thanks guys every little idea helps....
Years ago I took a weekend class though Maryland Fire and Rescue Institude which involved classroom one day and traveling to Andrews Air Force Base the next to look at aircraft and equipment.
Also a fire chief from the base conducted a four hour aircraft crash and safety class at a fire station just off the base sometime after that.
One thing is that the MFRI training center is in the flight path of the College Park Airpark which is the first airport in the US. They had a number of private aircraft crash on the campus grounds and the administration and class room building.
Check with the nearest airport(with ARFF protection) or Air Force Base, they're always more than willing to help put on a training class. Also, you can check out the thread I started a while ago "Reported Aircraft Down In Your 1st Due: Would you know what to do?"
