We always seem to have plenty of stories of departments and firefighters doing stupid things, on the fireground, at the station, and out in public.
We need more stories like this that show us in a better light.

Way to go, Laura and MFD!!!
I tripped over a hose line when I was a junior firefighter at age 14 and fell face first and my Chief and the emts were laughing and the Chief said that was a kodak moment. Then on the way back to the truck after training, another regular member stepped in dog crap and he had to walk back to the station...it was about a block and a half...lol
We got a MVA/MVC call a few months ago and a guy decapitated his arm. We pulled him out of the ater, he's still alive but he's missing an arm. The Chief says it over the radio and a few minutes later he recieves texts from other firefighters saying do you need a hand...some thought it was funny, others did not. Just an interesting story to tell. But another member found his arm and said I shouldn't have eaten lunch yet...
We got a call when I was 16 and still a junior firefighter to a house fire. The lady was baking brownies for her son's football team and thought she turned it off when she turned it up. Her dog was barking so the nieghbors called it in. While we were handling that, a few doors down, someone broke into a house and robbed it. Another neighbor called out to the police someone was in the house that wasn't suppose to be and he ran out the back door so now they are doing a foot pursuit. They get the guy...but dang, that was an interesting evening.
