Just thought I'de see what everyone does for fundrasers. We do a variety of thing . We have an Open House / BBQ and Hot-dog saleand a "boot drive": We have 4 auctions every year; CPR,1st aid; and AED class(donations only): Car washes; Food Drives. Be Safe
our dept is think about having a fund raisers. We talked about remodeling the classroom @ our station. What r some good fund raising can we do. r last fund raising was long time when we got r first infrared camera
Let's see... we do a lot of Pancake breakfasts (pancakes, eggs, fruit, biscuits&gravy, coffee...), Spaghetti dinners, soup & salad dinners. Last year, we did a gun raffle for our October dinner. We are in the process of buying a piece of land for a new fire station, and we are paying for it by ourselves (meaning our District-- tax base, etc.. is NOT helping us out). So far, so good. We used to do a fish fry, selling food at our local fair, and a few other things... We are very fortunate to have a good support base in our fire district, and they really help us out when they know we're doing something to benefit the FD. Our EMS side is the one that does most of the soup & salad dinners. What we're tossing around for next year is an EMS benefit auction. So-- good luck!
Our dept. does bingo, food at a bingo, catering, food trailer, pancake breakfasts, spagetti dinners, car shows, hall rentals, gun raffles, poker runs with motorcycles, open house, halloween party, silent auctions, boot drives and standbys for events. More events are in the planning phases for this year.
