When I was looking, I would keep up with the departments I wanted to work for. I checked them all about once a week to see if there was anything new, read the newsletters on the sites to see what was going on and kept up with any changes.
Sometimes doing the leg work yourself is better than any information a website can offer. There was one in Canada that went downhill in a hurry, missed recruitments, posted them after closing dates, etc. If you rely on that, you're going to miss out.
thats aa hell of a web site ha ha ha thanks for the advice im looking to leave illinois and wanted to see if there were any good websites for a good overview
I go to the T.C.F.P website here in Texas, they ussually have a good list of departments, check.. firehouse.com
Do some research on the departments that are around your area and their websites.
