Hi All,
I'm thinking of putting together a book of firefighter's funniest stories or jokes whetther it was something pulled on you or you did to someone else on the job whether in the station, on the way to or from a scene. We all have them and thought it would be fun to compile these. You don't have to give your name or department if you don't want to that is up to you.

Proby's always get the worst of it. Get a tooth brush and cut a few very tiny brisels off in their bed. They will scratch themselves all night but won't know what the deal is. It may be mean but its better than their bed falling apart getting them hurt.
It may be old but it still works; put clear tape around the sprayer on the kitchen sink and face it out. Just make sure the Chief knows about it.
Smoke machines work pretty good at night to wake proby up.

First night at a fire house
3 am pager gose off for a medical aid when i wake up i am looking at the floor and scared the crap out of me
they straped me to a back board and hung me between to chairs i dont know how they kept me asleep but they did

Eric, do a search on the forums for jokes and funny stories. Been hammered out here many times before. Sounds like a fun project.

A friend was a Fire Captain in Santa Monica in the early 80's.
Very late one night, they got an alarm for a strip mall. One store was fully engulfed in flames - so they had to shut off the power to the whole building. They finally got it put out by morning. The business next door was a Baskin Robbins Ice Cream store.
The owner came and told them all the ice cream had melted (mainly due to no power), but rather than tossing it out - as a thanks he told all the firefighters they can eat all they wanted and take the rest back to the stations, in the buckets.
Apparently, they had enjoyed the salvaged ice cream for "months", or so the story goes.
I guess some of the unique perks of the job?
